The first technique I want to teach is the Two Breath Hypnosis Technique, which is an exercise to help us check in with ourselves, then unwind and relax. The techniques I am discussing help activate the Vagus Nerve, which is the super connector between our brain and our body. It has many functions, including helping us relax. Splashing cold water on your face triggers this relaxation response. We can also activate the Vagus Nerve by humming loudly or chanting. When stressed, we often take shallow breaths, but by taking big deep breaths we can help our bodies relax. I'll also walk you through the alpha tongue drop technique to help you relax and enter the calm and peaceful alpha brain state.
