These four parts work together to systemize our bodily functions, our thought processes and our emotions. Today I'm going to talk about each part of the mind, the protective functions and how hypnosis can help you.

The Unconscious Mind controls your autonomic nervous system, it is responsible for all of your bodily functions that you don't even think about. I'll talk about how it's possible to retrain the mind using hypnosis to help with issues like anxiety. 

The Subconscious Mind is the part of your mind that holds who you are, all your habits, behaviors and even your personality. Listen in to hear how hypnosis can be used to quickly form new thought patterns in the subconscious mind. 

The Conscious Mind thinks and focuses on the present moment, it's what you are thinking about right now. If you are working through a math problem, you are using your conscious mind.  Quieting the conscious mind, so you can access the subconscious mind is why hypnosis works so well. 

Information is communicated between the conscious and subconscious mind by going through the Critical Factor.  The critical factor is like a gatekeeper to our habits and beliefs. Information has to be accepted by the critical factor to become a belief. This is why it is so hard to change limiting beliefs and habits, our critical factor wants to protect what is familiar, not necessarily what's best for us.  Hypnosis allows us to bypass this critical factor, to free ourselves from the familiar patterns and create the new programs and beliefs that serve us best.
